Dr Adil Khan Kotwal serves as the President of National Civil Society, guiding the organization with vision, strategy, and deep commitment to inclusive development. With a background in civic leadership and governance, he has played a central role in expanding NCS across India. Under his leadership, the organization has formed key partnerships, enhanced citizen outreach, and led major service initiatives in disaster preparedness, digital inclusion, and social security. Dr. Adil has also strengthened NCS’s legal and institutional credibility by ensuring compliance with all statutory norms. He believes in empowering communities by simplifying access to essential services, and his leadership reflects the values of service, transparency, and national responsibility in every program and initiative.
Dr. Prashan Kumar Thakur is the Secretary of National Civil Society and one of its founding visionaries. With expertise in education, public policy, and grassroots mobilization, he has shaped many of NCS’s most impactful programs. Dr. Prashan represents the organization in national and international forums, including the World Health Summit and the UN SDG Book Publishing partnership. He leads knowledge frameworks, training modules, and service design strategies for initiatives like GST Suvidha Kendra, AEPS, and legal aid. His focus on sustainable solutions and youth engagement has enabled NCS to build a strong, people-focused service network. He is a social entrepreneur by profession, a journalist by interest, a philanthropist by passion, a versifier philosopher by virtue, a farmer by inheritance, an educationist by knowledge, and a mentor by wisdom, driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on society. He works to connect policy with people in meaningful, measurable ways across sectors.
Dr. Sowmya Pavani. K is a passionate social worker, activist, and impact-driven passionpreneur working across food, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing sectors. She serves as the Treasurer of National Civil Society, managing financial systems with diligence, accuracy, and integrity. She oversees budgeting, grant reporting, and compliance with 80G, 12A, and CSR financial regulations. With deep experience in NGO operations and a strong understanding of social finance, she ensures transparency and efficiency in all NCS programs. Dr. Sowmya also supports strategic funding partnerships with corporate and government bodies while maintaining internal audits and fiscal discipline. Her leadership ensures every donation is used effectively, bringing real change at the grassroots and maintaining full accountability with all stakeholders.
